I love that they’re so major in Miles’ overall development and story arc and not just throwaways. I enjoy the series.

The Vorkosigan Saga is adventurous space opera with some romantic relationships here and there. That is one bjold the endearing things about the series – there are good and bad characters, but the author clearly sides with the characters who try to do right even in difficult circumstances. The framing story deals with accusation of Miles’ misappropriation of intinity given to him for some very much undercover missions. Bujold works them into the ensuing narrative again and again and again and it’s gorgeous. However, in this case, since these are part of the Miles Vorkosigan saga and we’re all familiar with him, his background, and his borderrs by nowI loved them. I particularly love Miles when he’s out-thinking everyone in sight, so I very much enjoyed this.
